Make the Most of Your Appointment
Why is he always running late?
This regular occurence is very annoying and stressful for both of us and I am constantly working to minimise the problem.
Standard appointments are booked for 15 minutes. This means that, by the time we get in and out of the consulting room and we say hello to each other, we have about 12 minutes of consultation time.
Long waiting times are caused by consultations repeatedly running over time. Just four minutes extra per consultation means that I am running about 30 minutes behind by late morning. Throw in just one complex case or a very sick patient and it is easy to see how I can be running an hour late by lunchtime.
BUT YOU CAN HELP
Be prepared and organised for your consultation. If you have multiple issues to discuss, please make a list and work out your priority items and share them with me at the start of the consultation.
Understand that we might need to prioritise your list of issues and arrange for you to come back another time if there is too much for time booked.
Please request a longer appointment, 30 or even 45 minutes, if you have a large or multiple issues that you think may could take that long.
How our Fees Work
